About the Webinar

Fresh Cheese-filled Tortellini with Peas, Butter, and Herbs

In honor of spring, here’s a way to celebrate the season!  Learn how to master the art of making tortellini from scratch.  Under the guidance of Chef Sam Kadko, you’ll be shown the process of taking flour, water, eggs, and cheese and turning them into delectable pasta pockets, embellished with a light sauce using the first picks from the garden-peas and herbs.  This presentation will break down the process into basic steps so you can learn the skills to create this seasonal delight.

About Chef Sam Kadko

Sam has been a professional chef and culinary instructor for 35 years, having worked in hotels, restaurants, private and corporate catering as well as teaching in several schools in the New York/New Jersey metro area.  In addition, he has had the opportunity to teach abroad in Russia and Italy.

Chef Kadko has had extensive travels and culinary adventures in Italy, from the bottom of the Italian boot’s heel in Puglia to the shore of Lake Como in the north. His fondest Italian travel memory was the study abroad program he helped lead in 2009 as an instructor, leading a student group from the Arts Institute of New York City to Puglia, Parma and Ferrara.
