Toni, from first-hand experience of being there, will describe the history and origins of Carnevale, the days of celebrations preceding Ash Wednesday, , the importance of masks, along with the skill of mask making. She will also showcase her extensive collection of masks that she has brought back from her travels.
About Toni McKeen
Toni is a lover of all things Italian and loves to share what she has learned from her studies, reading, and research, as well as her through her first hand knowledge from her extensive travels through Italy from northern Milano to Sicilia. She has been lecturing on a wide range of topics for the Westchester Italian Cultural Center since 2009.
